What is a referendum?
A referendum is a vote to decide the answer to a particular question. To be successful, one outcome must receive 75% of the vote and 5% of voters must participate. It’s like an election, but instead of voting for a person to represent you, you vote on what you want to happen.
What happens after I submit a referendum question?
Once a referendum question has been submitted, a petition will be created to back that proposal. A minimum of 2% of eligible voters must sign the petition in order for the referendum question to be put to a student vote. A list of current questions can be found below.
