£10 per hour

Job Description
Reports to:
President Kent
Job Purpose
- Take a leading role in the Action for Black Students campaign and deliver agreed actions from the campaign plan
- Engage with students to encourage participation in the campaign, and gather feedback
- Communicate with the Campaigns team and support the other two major campaigns when needed
- Attend relevant committees, as agreed
- Complete any other tasks that support the success of student democracy, as required
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in the Action for Black Students campaign and deliver agreed actions from the campaign plan
– Make suggestions about how the campaign can be improved or developed
– Build good working relationships with relevant staff or organisations
– Complete your campaign actions within deadlines, and be proactive about next steps
- Engage with students to encourage participation in the campaign, and gather feedback
– In collaboration with the Marketing and Brand Manager, make and share social media content to promote the campaign
– Organise student meetups and reach out to students you know, to build up a team of campaign volunteers
- Communicate with the Campaigns team and support the other two major campaigns when needed
– Attend regular meetings with President Kent and the two other Campaign Assistants
– Be prepared to update on your campaign, and to volunteer useful information or support whenever there is a crossover between campaigns
- Attend relevant committees, as agreed
- Complete any other tasks that support the success of student democracy, as required

- Is passionate about anti-racism and empowering black students
- Feels comfortable talking to new people
- Can be proactive and meet deadlines
- Will bring creative ideas to the campaign
- Wants to be an active campaigner
