FRESHERS FAIR

Thursday 26 September | Reception | 11am – 2pm

The Freshers fair is a fantastic opportunity to find out about Students’ Union events, our new Communities program, local business and charities, and a chance to pick up some free goodies! Make sure to check our our full calendar of events below.

Every campus has their own Communities calendar, packed full of activities and events for a wide range of interests and identities. You can go along to anything that you like, make friends, have fun and learn new things. You can register to be a part of a Community to keep up to date with events and activities. You will also be able to register for or purchase certain sessions online!

Our core communities are ACTIVE, EDUCATION, WELLBEING, SUSTAINABILITY and INTERNATIONAL. We will also have IDENTITY COMMUNITIES, which are specifically for students who identify into those Communities. These include BAME STUDENTS, WOMEN STUDENTS, LGBTQ+ STUDENTS and DISABLED STUDENTS.

So how does it work? All the Communities’ activities can be found on one big Communities calendar, which is released on the 15th of every month. This calendar can be found on the Activities page of the UCASU website, on Facebook and Instagram. Most activities and events take place during lunchtimes (between 12 midday and 2pm) or at the end of the day, 5pm onwards. Some activities might require a small fee on the day to help us cover costs, but most of Communities will be completely free to you, so you can make the most of your time at UCA.

We have planned a number of Communities events for this years Freshers, which can be found on the calendar below. More events will be added to this before the start of term, so keep your eyes out for a full calendar coming soon!
