About Epsom Cheerleading Club

Welcome!

Cheerleading is a fantastic way to exercise while having fun in a team bonding sport. There is no level of experience required as we all learn the skills and routines together. There is no need to be perfect at every skill, you are able to focus on what suits you best and excel in that. We learn incredible skills such as stunts, tumbling and dancing which all go towards a killer routine for showcases and competitions. Alongside the physicality, cheerleading is about building strong friendships and a supportive community.

The Epsom cheerleading team often joins together with our twin cheerleading team in Farnham. Together, UCA Hellcats have been crowned Level 1 Legacy Alpha and Omega National Champions 2020!

Cheerleading is open to anyone, we will be glad to welcome you! We pride ourselves in our inclusivity which means no matter your size, background, experience or fitness level, sexual orientation or religion you are always welcome in the team. We know the cheerleading uniform might not appeal to everyone but we will always work with you to make sure you feel comfortable in your body.

Please come in comfy gym appropriate wear and trainers. Bring water! Hydration is key!

Training times are Tuesdays at 18:15 - 20:00pm in Farnham room RG21 - (Transportation for Epsom to Farnham and back is sorted messages us to find out more details on that.)

Membership Fee is £75 for the whole year for new members which covers our coached training sessions and two competitions fees.

There will be a separate one-off fee for the uniform.

Financial Support

Cheerleading can be an expensive sport and we never want the financial side of things to be a barrier for you to join the team. If you want to join but need additional support and meet the criteria you can apply for the SU's Participation Fund which could help towards covering your membership and uniform costs. Instructor Bio

UCA graduate and Hellcats founder, Sophie Holden, is our beloved Hellcats coach. Sophie is a qualified Cheerleading coach who has been doing Cheerleading for 9 years.
She has brought the Hellcats to national victory five times and four Union Awards while at UCA. She has won multiple national trophies while competing for teams such Knights American Cheer, LMU Mets, Inferno Cheer, Unity Allstars, Sparks Allstars and competed in America with Iconic Cheer at the highest level there is in Cheerleading.
