Your first week at UCA is nearly here and your Students’ Union has been busy preparing SU Freshers - a week of events and activities to help you start the right way.
From craft sessions to free food and games, we’ve made it easy for you to settle in, meet people, and find your feet.
At the heart of the week is the SU Freshers Fair, your chance to find out more about our amazing clubs and societies and meet other students that share your interests and passions.
Here's your run down of what's happening on each campus during Freshers Week - click on each event title to find out more...
Canterbury:
- Tuesday 15th September - Welcome Breakfast - Free breakfast and friendly faces. Start the year right by meeting other new students and your SU President over breakfast.
- Tuesday 15th September - Board Games and Brownies - Play board games, enjoy free brownies and meet other new students.
- Wednesday 16th September - SU Freshers Fair: Canterbury - Your chance to explore the SU's student societies and sports clubs, plus university services, local businesses, and freebies!
- Wednesday 16th September - Tea and Table Tennis - Straight after SU Freshers Fair, head to The Nook for free tea, table tennis and socialising.
- Thursday 17th September - Pub-style Quiz- A friendly team quiz with snacks and a relaxed social atmosphere - no need to come as a team, we'll help you join a team with other new students.
- Friday 18th September - Pool and Pizza Party - Pool and pizza - together at last. Join us for a relaxed end-of-week social with free pool and free pizza.
Epsom:
- Monday 14th September - Welcome Community Social - Meet other UCA students over pizza, board games and even a bit of karaoke!
- Tuesday 15th September - SU Freshers Fair: Epsom - Your chance to explore the SU's student societies and sports clubs, plus university services, local businesses, and freebies!
- Tuesday 15th September - Freshers Social Evening - Making friends made easy. Speed-friending, course networking and a music quiz, all in one event
- Wednesday 16th September - Coffee Networking - Free coffee and friendly faces. Start the year right by meeting the students behind the SU and societies
- Wednesday 16th September - Movie Night - Popcorn, picture and pals. Enjoy a movie and meet other students over popcorn and drinks
Farnham:
- Monday 14th September - Bingo, Music & Meet-and-Greet - Making friends made easy. Meet other new UCA students in a relaxed way with lunchtime bingo, music, and prizes all in one event.
- Tuesday 15th September - Farnham Kahoot - Let's get quizzical. A fun Kahoot quiz to help you settle into your new home at UCA. Take part individually or join with other new UCA students.
- Wednesday 16th September - Society Performances - Grab a deckchair and enjoy live on-stage performances from our incredible SU Societies
- Wednesday 16th September - Movie Night - Meet other students and enjoy an exclusive free movie screening together.
- Thursday 17th September - SU Freshers Fair: Farnham - Your chance to explore the SU's student societies and sports clubs, plus university services, local businesses, freebies and a clothes exchange!
- Friday 18th September - Karaoke Social - Whether you're a singer or a listener, finish your first week in style with free Karaoke!
