About Farnham Pole Fitness Club

Welcome to UCA Pole Fitness Club!

Pole Fitness is about having fun while improving strength, flexibility, and coordination. We run supervised sessions each week with an experienced pole fitness instructor. EVERYONE is welcome in the Pole Fitness Club – regardless of gender, body type, or experience level. We value good team work, encouragement, support, and positivity. Pole Fitness Club is a safe, judgement free space.

Please wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. Shorts are preferred as skin grips well to the pole, however there is no pressure to wear clothing that make you feel uncomfortable. Jewellery must be removed before class, as it can scratch the poles. Make sure to bring water.

We practice on six X-Stage poles with 3 people per pole.

Class size is limited to 18 due to health and safety.

We run two classes every Thursday. Class 1 is Beginner/Intermediate from 5-6:30pm (class sets up) and Class 2 is Intermediate/Advanced 6:30-8pm (class packs away).

~Class 2, to attend this class, you must have started invert conditioning, doesn't matter if you're not there yet, this class will work on improving those skills ~

Due to extremely high demand, our memberships only open once all taster sessions are finished to ensure fairness.

Instructor Bio

Karla Hardy

Having stumbled across Pole Fitness in 2008 whilst looking for an exercise regime that wouldn’t lead to boredom or excuses not to go, it was soon apparent that this would be a love – love relationship!

Karla is driven by a genuine desire to empower her students to achieve their goals. She finds joy in witnessing their progress and growing confidence as they master new skills and tackle challenges. Creating a supportive and encouraging environment is a top priority for her, as she believes that everyone deserves to feel safe and inspired throughout their fitness journey!

Over the years, she has performed solo and with students at Pole Unity, Guilfest and many showcases. Karla competed in Miss Pole Dance UK Semi-Pro Instructors, where she earned the 'Best Entertainer' award. She also won the 'Best Choreography' title at The Kent Pole Championships. Additionally, she excelled in Doubles Pole, winning the doubles category at the Solent Pole and Aerial Competition.

Beyond the studio, Karla is a qualified Personal Trainer, flexibility coach, and sports massage therapist, all of which she integrates into her own business, KNEADS, with her small hairy PA, Tato the Daschund. She became a certified Xpert Pole Instructor in 2013 and is a 3 Star Approved Instructor with the Pole Dance Community.

She has been the UCA Pole Fitness Club instructor since 2018 and has won the UCASU 'Instructor of the Year' Award twice.
