About Farnham Cheerleading Club

Welcome to the Hellcats!

Cheerleading is a fantastic way to exercise while having fun in a team-bonding sport. We are a co-ed level 1 team and there is no level of experience required as we all learn the skills and routines together. There is no need to be perfect at every skill, you are able to focus on what suits you best and excel in that. We learn incredible skills such as stunts, tumbling and dancing which all go towards a killer routine for showcases and competitions. Alongside the physicality, cheerleading is about building strong friendships and a supportive community.

Cheerleading is open to anyone, we will be glad to welcome you! We pride ourselves in our inclusivity which means no matter your size, background, experience or fitness level, sexual orientation or religion you are always welcome in the team. We know the cheerleading uniform might not appeal to everyone but we will always work with you to make sure you feel comfortable in your body.

Please come in comfy gym-appropriate wear and trainers. Bring water! Hydration is key!

Training times are Wednesdays from 5:00-9pm in W40.

Membership is £65 for the year which covers the cost of our coached sessions, two competition fees and a club tshirt.

Our new uniform is a one-off fee of £80 and payment is due by October. You can choose to pay this in one go with the membership fee or pay later in October.

COACH BIOS

Julia Seco - Choreography & Dance

Hello! My name is Julia and starting this year I will be Hellcats’ choreography coach! I’m an illustrator (fellow artist :D) and graduated from UCA. I joined Hellcats in 2018 when the team first arrived to Farnham and I’ve participated in the last 7 seasons going from complete beginner to confident cheerleader, as well as made plenty of wonderful memories and lifelong friends. As a coach, I want every member to enjoy their time with the team and want to help them meet their goals: whether that is to have fun and enjoy the university outside of the classroom or up their game as competitive athletes. Before cheer, I was part of Spain’s Royal Fencing Federation for 5 years, competing at national and local events in the teen division and have also taken dance classes throughout the years in multiple styles (classic, latin, kpop etc.). I became interested in cheerleading whilst living in USA as a teen but was intimidates by the high level performance of the teams around me. Hellcats was the perfect place to start cheering and I hope it can be the door to you taking part in this wonderful sport as well!

Jorja Hodgkins - Tumbling & Stunting

Hi my name is Jorja! I’ve been doing allstar cheerleading for 10 years now and I’ve been privileged enough to attend the Cheerleading Worlds 2x and hit zero at the Summit! I am a tumbler and side base so I love a good flip:smile_cat: I’m looking forward to meeting everyone this year! :heart_hands:

GUEST COACHES

Rebeca Acsinia

Rebeca is a UCA graduate who has been in competitive cheerleading for 5 years. Having coached the team last year, she is joining us again this year as a guest coach. She was a Latin and Ballroom dancer for 8 years and an ice skater for 3 years, and has developed her experience and skill into cheerleading over the years.

Rebeca started her cheerleading journey as a child where she competed for over a year before transitioning to their dance team. When starting University, she wanted to rejoin into the cheerleading world and restart her training. Since then Rebeca has competed with UCA Hellcats over the years, which have achieved numerous wins! Taking her training further, she is now a Level 2 cheerleading coach that is ready to keep the Hellcats legacy going.

Sophie Holden

Founder of the Hellcats in 2016 while she was a student at UCA Epsom, we are so happy to welcome Sophie back as a guest coach. Sophie is currently a part of Team England, representing the Adaptive Cheer team worldwide, and recently won the Bronze medal for Team England at the Cheerleading World Championships. She took the Hellcats to regional and national victory many times over the years, and won UCASU Club of the Year twice, as well as Coach of the Year, while she was at UCA. As a level 7 cheerleader, she has competed at the highest level of cheerleading for over ten years.
