How much does a UCASU Market stall cost?
Students: £5 for a half table, £10 for a full table
Staff/Alumni: £10 for a half table, £20 for a full table
Externals: £30 for a full table
Why is there a fee for students?
We charge students a small table fee to allow the Students’ Union to provide the level of activities we do throughout the year. As a charity, this money goes straight back into enhancing your student experience.
We understand that not everyone who wants to participate in our markets can afford to do so. To remove this barrier, we have an access fund available to students, which will allow you to hold a small table. You can apply for the access fund here.
Can I participate as an International Student
Please make sure to check your visa requirements before signing up for a stall at the markets. Selling items at our markets is classed as ‘engaging in business activity’, which is a break of your student visa conditions.
You can find more information about working on a student visa here.
Can I sign-up to fundraise for my club, society, or course?
You are able to fundraise for your club, society, or course, but we do advise that International students do not participate due to visa restrictions.
What do I need to bring when I set up?
UCASU will provide the table only. If you require table cloths or displays for your products, you will need to bring these with you on the day.
Can I pay at the market with card?
We host a variety of sellers at our markets, and a lot of them are independent! We would advise bringing cash as not all vendors will have a card machine.
