What is Freshers Week, and do I have to attend all events?
Freshers Week is a week-long series of events designed to welcome new students to the University of the Creative Arts (UCA), and UCA Students' Union! It's your chance to meet new friends, explore campus, and get involved in student life. Don't miss out - it's the perfect start to your uni journey! You don't have to attend all the events either. You can attend the events that interest you, whether that's the Freshers Fair, our social activities, or night-time events. It's your time to discover what you enjoy.
What should I bring to Freshers Week events?
Always bring your Student ID (or proof of enrolment email) as well as your Proof of Age ID for all night-time events.
How can I meet people if I'm nervous about socialising?
You're not alone - everyone is in the same boat! Start small by attending on-campus events or joining group activities. Look out for clubs and societies taster sessions coming up, as these are a great place to meet people in a low-pressure setting.
Can I still participate in Freshers Week if I'm living off-campus?
Absolutely! Freshers Week is for everyone, whether you live on or off-campus. There are day-time and evening events to help you feel included, no matter where you're staying.
How do I stay updated on what's happening during Freshers Week?
