UCA'S NEW SOCIETY OF THE YEAR 2023/24!

Well met prospective members, and welcome to UCA Canterbury's RPG and Tabletop Society! Does fighting made-up dragons or discussing fantasy media sound like something you might dig? Then you’re in the right place! 

RPG, or Role-Playing Game, is a blanket term for any type of game– be it board, video, or tabletop– that allows you to assume the role of someone else (or perhaps a cooler version of yourself.) Whether you're a bonafide D&D vet, a first-timer, or if this all just sounds vaguely interesting, we want to welcome you to the table. Most of our current members were entirely new to RPGs before joining the society and have since become confident players and DMs!

After starting up last year we were able to run weekly D&D sessions and multiple special events, including a one-shot RPG session, several board game nights & a murder mystery night! We pride ourselves on being an ambitious society, and have a great deal more planned for the next year including but not limited to: continuing our regular D&D sessions (for people of all exp levels!), more board and card game nights; trivia and quizzes; character and TTRPG design workshops; collaborations with other societies including fantasy-themed life drawing, a writing for role-playing games seminar, and so much more! You can partake in as much or as little as you desire for only £5 a year!

TLDR: if you're looking for adventure, people who share your specific niche interest, somewhere that you can pretend to be a buff guy with a sword, or even just a place to spend your Monday evenings, the RPG Society might be for you.
