COVID-19: UCASU’s response

You’ll be aware that there is a great effort at the moment to limit the transmission of the coronavirus COVID-19, with many people and businesses taking action. We understand this can be an anxious and stressful time, so wanted to share what the SU is doing.

As a precautionary measure, we are postponing all events, clubs, societies, and Communities meetings from 8pm tonight, Monday 16 March, until further notice.

Voting in our elections will continue as normal, 10am-3pm on both Thursday 19 and Friday 20 March at all campuses.

The students’ union remains available for support and to represent your interests. Support regarding academic issues can be found via ucasu.com/support, emailing advice.su@uca.ac.uk, or calling/messaging 07827 316142.

If you’d like to contact a student representative, please email Callum Mitchell - callum.mitchell.su@uca.ac.uk. A full list of contacts in the SU team can be found at ucasu.com/contact.

The university will provide updates to your UCA email address and at uca.ac.uk/alerts.

It is important that we support each other so please take time to learn how to play your part in preventing the spread of the virus and make sure our campuses and neighbourhoods are safe and respectful places to live and study.
