This year UCASU along with the hard work of UCA students started four liberation groups on each campus. Students have stepped up to organise events like the Farnham BAME debates and run campaigns like the disabled students' disability awareness badges, which you might have spotted around campus. LGBTQ+ students on all four campuses set up the LGBT History Month fairs, fundraising to attend the London Pride Parade in July.

We can now happily announce that UCASU's application for a space in the Pride parade was accepted, and we'll be representing the University for the Creative Arts at one of the largest Pride events in the country! LGBTQ+ students, staff, and allies will be walking together in the parade in solidarity with LGBTQ+ people around the world, celebrating the passion and diversity of experience which are core values of UCA.

If you're an LGBTQ+ student, staff member, or ally that would like to join the small walking group in the Pride parade, please email to get involved! There are very limited spaces, so be quick! We will also be launching our Stand By U badges in Freshers' Week, a campaign that stands in solidarity with everyone at UCA no matter their gender, sexuality, race, ability, or any other identity - keep an eye out from September 2017.
