CHIEF EXECUTIVE DEPARTS, INTERIM REPLACEMENT NAMED

On 18 June 2014, Scott Cannie, our Chief Executive since October 2012, handed in his resignation prior to starting a new adventure overseas.

In the time since, the Trustee Board have conducted a search and selection process for an Interim Chief Executive and can today announce that Scott Temple-Farmer will take over for the first semester of the 2014/15 academic year. Scott Temple-Farmer brings over 16 years experience within Higher Education and Students' Unions having just recently completed a period as Interim Chief Executive at University of Wales: Trinity St David Students' Union. Prior to establishing his own consultancy, he was Director of Membership & Democratic Engagement at University of Bristol Students' Union, following a successful period at the National Union of Students (NUS) where he held a range of regional and national management positions. We look forward to welcoming him to UCA Students' Union.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish Scott Cannie success for the future, and thank him for his hard work and guidance during his time with us.

Queries concerning this change should be directed to the Chair of the Trustee Board, Jasmin Grimshaw.
