ABOUT ME:

I am a hard working student and always like to get the best out of everything. I love entertaining people and love socializing and broaden up my connections. I am a student living in England with an Asian background I love everything we are offered in this Uni but there is a slight lack activities for international students to take part it in. I like to be the representative for international students and in order to find out what they like to see more of, I would suggest doing a Questionnaire.

IF ELECTED, HOW WOULD YOU CREATE MORE OF A COMMUNITY?

We are living in a generation were technology seems to take over us and many people these days seem to find it easy to connect through social network but it is important to socialize in person as well. We would understand more about their characteristics and personality and international students who isolate themselves away will get the opportunity to communicate with every other member.

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS?

It is potential for us to know what students expect from our community see what they are interested in, then put down a list of ideas that students are more interested in depending on the style and generation we are in. In regards to international students we should make them fell like home. For example, international day at least 3 times a year, celebrating festivals the students normally celebrate in their own country. Chinese would celebrate Chinese New Year, Indians celebrate Diwali, Germany carnivals etc..

HOW WOULD YOU INSPIRE STUDENTS TO HAVE A VOICE?

It is important socialize with every student and make their voices heard and took seriously as this is something that will affect them and help them for their uni life and beyond.. It will be essential to involve them in every action and decision making. As an officer I would try to help them get confidence in themselves and bring out the best out of them and persuade them to showcase their talent not locally but also Nationally and Internationally.
