Dear Jeremy

Now that you are the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, as well as being our MP I thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to invite you to our University to meet our students and staff. Being a specialist creative arts institution, we are a unique group within the community, be it sometimes a little removed, however we add great value to Farnham and I am wanting to promote this further to the community and to yourself.

As a Union, we are politically engaged and as I mentioned, with your involvement in media and culture it would be a great time for you to visit. We have a debate society and with the new year of students arriving in September, what better way to kick off the new term for the students and the society than for our MP to be on the panel. This would be a great way of engaging our students politically while also having the chance for you to gain real feedback from members of your constituency who play a key role in media and culture.

I don’t know your availability but would there be a morning or afternoon in mid to late September that you would be available?
