About

What We Do

Trusted. Supportive. Confident. Empowering.

The Students’ Union is what it says on the tin, a union of UCA Students.

We exist not only to represent students, but also provide a range of services too; from clubs and societies to social events and training.
Upon joining UCA, you will automatically become a member of the Students’ Union. This means you can elect the officers that run the Union, as well as the Student Council members. Students are at the core of the Union and as such you can mandate the officers to campaign on different issues.
Here at the Union, we are dependant on volunteers to help run events, societies and sports teams, represent their course or event stand for a position on the Campus Council.

The Union is run by students, for students.
We have a range of commercial services that form part of our union. The money we make from these goes back into the Union to make sure that you have the best possible experience whilst at university.

We are Not-For-Profit.
Being an active member of the Union can be very rewarding, not only in terms of a better student life for yourself, but for other students at UCA. You can make a massive impact on the way that not only the Union runs, but the University too. It also looks great on your CV!
If you see any of the Union team around campus, say hello! We are all more than happy to answer any questions you may have, no matter how small.

Welcome to the UCA Students’ Union.

Course Reps

The University for the Creative Arts and the University for the Creative Arts Students’ Union (UCASU) co-run the course rep scheme.

Reps are elected by their peers through their course leaders to represent their school and/or course needs for a year. Reps will provide an essential link between students, the University and the Students’ Union.

Because Reps are themselves students, fellow students are happy to seek assistance from them when they have concerns or opinions about their education and experience at University. By keeping the student view on the agenda the course reps are a vital link between students and staff of the University and help ensure that the University is student driven.
