JAMIE STRATTON JOINS UCASU AS ITS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Jamie StrattonUCA Students’ Union is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive as Jamie Stratton. Jamie will join UCASU from his current role as Student Opportunities and Activities Manager at Middlesex University Students’ Union where he has been in various roles over a period of four years.

Prior to this he was a full-time elected sabbatical officer at the University of Brighton Students’ Union for two years.

Speaking of his appointment, recruiting consultant and interim Chief Executive, Scott Temple-Farmer said “we are delighted that Jamie is joining UCA Students’ Union with the experience, passion and foresight to drive us to achieve the aim of becoming the UK’s number one small and specialist students’ union.”

Jasmin Grimshaw, Chair of Trustees also commented: “Jamie’s vision for UCASU and his track record of delivery with Middlesex really captured our imaginations and we cannot wait for him to start.”

Jamie said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining UCASU. The organisation has enormous potential to be one of the leading SU’s within the sector and I am extremely excited to be joining at the beginning of this journey and leading the organisation forward.”
